Asking For A Friend Review

One of the things that I value most in the world is friendship. I consider my friends to be my family and for my inner circle I know that is reciprocated. So when I came across this book I was intrigued and as I read it I was pleasantly surprised.

The story centers around three friends and how their lives are changing. Parts of me could relate to Jemima, Simi and Meagan equally. As single women trying to balance relationships, work and life in general, their stories felt real and relatable. But the one thing that I appreciated the most that their friendship was the focus of this book and their respective love lives played second fiddle.

Too often books that I think are about female friendships turn to be about romance. And even the cover of this book would make you think that romance would be front and center. But honestly the friendships and the growth of the characters is what stuck out to me more than anything else.

Thanks to HarperCollins and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
