Hi everyone, I know its been a while. I love my job but I has taken over my life for the last six months. Helping people is hard when you are dealing with contractors who don’t want to do their jobs.

But I have been reading. My goal for 2026 was 75 books and I’m at 39. I’m even more proud of myself for tying to actually put a dent in my NetGalley backlist. The best book that I have read so far this year has been The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert. I still need to read Score by Kennedy Ryan; and once I do I have a feeling that will be my favorite of the year. I love anything and everything that she has written, which in a way is why I haven’t opened Score yet.

In other news, my local romance book store (shout out to Kiss and Tale A Romance Bookshop) has been putting on some really great events recently. Just last night I was able to listen to Julie Soto in conversation. And last week I got to meet some of my favorite authors; Sierra Simone, Julie Murphy, and Nisha Sharma.

So while I have been away I have been reading. I’m going to better, and I know that isn’t the first time that I have said that, but I mean it this time. I’m going to to try to post at least biweekly here now that I have much more time for reading.
