January is always an exciting time of year for me. While I don’t make resolutions, I try to start the New Year by setting an intention. This year, I decided that 2024 was going to be the year of ME. That, for me, is a big statement to make. I never actually make time for myself, but I will try this year.
So, a new semester of grad school started, and only three more to go. Again, I’m taking two courses. And when I got my syllabus,’ I found out that each class had a 20-page minimum paper due. One of them was a group project.
I don’t even have works for how unexcited I was about this. So I’m looking forward to a lack of freedom until May at this point. But I was able to pot out all of my due dates so at least I can feel a bit in control about it and see it on a calendar.
On the reading front however things went much better than expected. I was able to read 9 books!!!!
I started some of them last year, but in my book, it only counts when I finish them. So, nine books. My favorite of all of them was Never Blow A Kiss by Lindsay Lovise. I was gifted an Advance Readers Copy from Forever (thank you). This book was Bridgerton meets spies. AMAZING! And it is the first book in a series, so that is even better.
I’m not going to set a reading goal for February, because I know if I do, I won’t meet it. So I’m just going to focus on enjoying the books I decide to read, and hopefully I will get a few off my physical TBR pile.
