One would think that being out of grad school for the summer and only having to focus on work would allow me for more free time for reading and posting …. not so much. Between work, also know as construction season for engineers, and traveling; life there has been almost little to no free time for me.

And semester #2 of grad school is starting next week, so I’m trying to get as much in as I can in the week before it starts. First thing being this post. And hopefully posting at least once a month in the future.

I have been getting some reading in this summer. I just finished Everything’s Fine by Cecilia Rabess. A ⭐⭐⭐⭐ read for me. It was a tale that I know all to well as I say “Everything’s Fine” almost all of the time so I got where Jess (the FMC) was coming from with using that phrase all of the time. It was a great read and I’m hoping we get a glimpse of the story in the future post ending. I realize I ask for that a lot, because I always feel like there could be so much more.

About 3 hours after finishing Everything’s Fine, I finished Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarrros. There has been A LOT of hype surrounding this book, and I will admit that I wanted to see what it was all about. I listened to the audiobook and it was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ listen. While I think that reading the book you would have heard the emotion, listening made it that much better. This is the first book in a series and I look forward to listening to more of the books. I might purchase the series but only when it comes out in paperback.
