So because I am ambitious, I always decide that I am going to do reading challenges. But I never complete one of them. So 2023 isn’t even over yet, but I’m making rules for 2024 now; NO READING CHALLENGES IN 2024.

Why am I doing this you might ask, since I have a blog all about my reading. I’m doing it because I don’t want reading to feel like a chore. I started this blog and my bookstagram because I loved reading. But lately it has all started to feel like a chore.

You go on Bookstagram and people are complaining about the number of followers they have and how often they are being unfollowed. And while I love being able to get books from publishers, I’m not looking to have a massive follower count just for that.

I have a page dedicated to my Favorite Books. It is those books that made me love reading and why I continue to read, even when the world seems to not want me to. So on that note for the rest of 2023 I will be concentrating on actually updating this blog. I will focus on what I have read and why I loved it.

I can say that the most recent book that I would recommend in Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. It was part of a reading challenge (lol) but it was a new genre for me that I am really starting to enjoy.
