I enjoyed this book. It was a bit slow in the beginning but once we got closer to current times the book picked up. I do wish that there had been a bit less time spent on the story of the three roommates, their backstory is important, but I feel like too much time was spent on it. There was also not enough time spent on the stories of the children. I would have liked more information as to how their lives were affected, it felt a too glossed over in the book.
