Paris, the City of Lights. I have never been there, but I have always wanted to go. Twenty-One Nights in Paris made me feel like I was there. Being able to escape into the location that I am reading about is something that doesn’t always happen. I also learned more about the history of Paris then I thought I would, which I also appreciated.
The character development is also something that I look for when I read books and this was another area where I was not disappointed. Ren is a great example of how a character can start at a point where she could be judged based on her standing in the world (I may have judged her a bit), but she allowed herself to see how she was a bit sheltered and was able to grow. And I feel like Sacha wasn’t given enough book time. His story is one that should have been delved into a bit more, but I do believe he served as a great asset to Ren in the growth.
I would highly recommend this book to others who are looking for a light but yet engaging read and want to learn more about the City of Lights.
