So my blog is small compared to most in the book blogging world, but I am thankful for it as it has provided me with opportunities to read books that I wouldn’t typically read. As you all know I love a good Cinderella story and a good story with character growth, but when you’ve spent most of your life reading romance novels those stories are hard to come by.
So when Andrea Stein reached out to me and asked if I would read and review her book, I said yes. It is a very flattering when an author reaches out to you directly when you blog and social media following aren’t that big. And I’m glad she did, Typecast is a book that made me think and feel things that I have tend to hide in the deepest recesses of my day to day life.
Callie, our main character, is at a bit of a crossroads. One that she has been at for a while now. She is still questioning decisions she made after graduating from college, while living in her parents house after they moved to Florida. As her family moves back in with her for many reasons and she reads an article in her alumni magazine about her ex-boyfriend, she begins to question everything. WE follow her as she re-evaluates her decisions and how she got to where she is and what she really wants out of her life.
As I said, there were many things that about Callie’s life that I could relate to, and in many ways Callie’s story helped me to realize that I need to make some tough decisions in my own life. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who needs a subtle push to think about things in their life.
Typecast will be in a book store near you on September 13, 2022.
